Abram's Creek
My affection for Eastern Tennessee, which has influenced my appreciation of both nature and artistic expression, is demonstrated in this screen printing. I've had the privilege of growing up near the Great Smoky Mountain National Park where I would explore the area. With the cold mountain rivers, calm forests, and green mountains, I find an abundance of artistic inspiration in this area. During these trips, I would often be accompanied by my dad or brother where I would watch them fly fish in this beautiful area. Fly fishing, in my opinion, is more than just the activity itself; it represents a long history of art and skill. The fine craftsmanship required to create the flies—the careful selection of materials, hues, and methods—reflects the beauty of the world around us. This is a screen-printing collection is dedicated to the beauty of this skill and my deep appreciation for the Eastern Tennessee.
