About Me
Eliza Ainsworth is a textile designer that explores the process of mark-making through unique materials and processes. The first stages of her work are very hands on and emphasizes exploration.She is primarily an explorer, often taking inspiration from natural and physical actions, such as rubbing textures from rocks or burning leather over a campfire to create unexpected prints and forms. She is able to create unique surfaces that challenge conventional textile design. She carries this mindset into designing for fashion, accessories, and interior applications. With sustainability in mind, Eliza Ainsworth also explores how new technologies can be combined with traditional mark-making.Currently, she is on her fourth year at Savannah College of Art pursuing a degree in Fibers.
